(1) "And at that time the light was about to separate from the darkness, and a voice was heard in the world, saying, 'Blessings on the eye that has seen you and the mind that has supported your majesty at my desire.' It will be said by the exalted one, 'Blessings on Rebouel among every race of people, for it is you alone who have seen.' And she will listen. And they will behead the woman who has the perception, whom you will reveal upon the earth. And according to my will, she will bear witness, and she will cease from every vain effort of nature and chaos. For the woman whom they will behead at that time is the support of the power of the demon who will baptize the seed of darkness in severity, that the seed may mix with unchastity. He begot a woman. She was called Rebouel.

(63) He is a pleasant, meek, quiet wind, or whispering breath, or still voice, out of all the powers of the Father and of the Son; as on mount Horeb with the prophet Elijah, and on Whitsunday or the Day of Pentecost with the Apostles, may be perceived.

(46) And that is a spirit, as all the rest of the seven spirits are, only the other six are an incomprehensible being therein; for the divine power generateth itself in the comprehensibility of the seventh nature-spirit, as it were hidden or concealed, and incomprehensible to the creatures.

(78) In this form, condition and manner it is with the angels also. All the angels of one kingdom signify the many and various powers of God the Father; the angelical king signifieth the Son of the Father, or the heart out of the powers of the Father, out of which the angels are made; the exit out of the king of angels, or his going forth into his angels, or his affecting of his angels, signifieth God the Holy Ghost.

(1) Description of a saint whose will was identified with God's will. That Daquqi possessed a sweet aspect, He resembled the moon of heaven come down on earth, He rarely tarried in one place, He said, "If I tarry in one house two days, I guard myself from being deceived into loving a home; Up! Soul, and travel in search of eternal wealth. My heart's inclination is not satisfied by houses, So that they should be places of temptation for me." Thus by day he traveled, and by night prayed,

(30) Spirit of Evil. The war in heaven relates to the destruction of the planet Ragnarok and to the fall of the angels. The virgin can be interpreted to signify the secret doctrine itself and her son the initiate born out of the "womb of the Mysteries." The Spirit of Evil thus personified in the great dragon attempted to control mankind by destroying the mother of those illumined souls who have labored unceasingly for the salvation of the world. Wings were given to the Mysteries (the virgin) and they flew into the wilderness; and the evil dragon tried to destroy them with a flood (of false doctrine) but the earth (oblivion) swallowed up the false doctrines and the Mysteries endured.

(131) The word which conceiveth itself at the upper gums, and which qualifieth or uniteth with the astringent and bitter spirit, signifieth the seven spirits of nature, or the astral birth or geniture, in which the devil ruleth, and the Holy Ghost opposeth him therein, and overcometh the devil.

(62) God the Holy Ghost is the third Person in the triumphing holy Deity, and proceedeth from the Father and the Son, and is the holy moving spring or fountain of joy in the whole Father.

(2) This is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Now, this father is the One who beholds himself in the light surrounding him, which is the spring of living water, and provides all the realms. He reflects on his image everywhere, sees it in the spring of the spirit, and becomes enamored of his luminous water, for his image is in the spring of pure luminous water surrounding him. The father’s thought became a reality, and she who appeared in the presence of the father in shining light came forth. She is the first power who preceded everything and came forth from the father’s mind as the forethought of all. Her light shines like the father’s light; she, the perfect power, is the image of the perfect and invisible virgin spirit. She, the first power, the glory of Barbelo, the perfect glory among the realms, the glory of revelation, she glorified and praised the virgin spirit, for because of the spirit she had come forth. She is the first thought, the image of the spirit. She became the universal womb, for she precedes everything, the mother-father, the first human, the holy spirit, the triple male, the triple power, the androgynous one with three names, the eternal realm among the invisible beings, the first to come forth. Barbelo asked the invisible virgin spirit to give her foreknowledge, and the spirit consented. When the spirit consented, foreknowledge appeared and stood by forethought. This is the one who came from the thought of the invisible virgin spirit. Foreknowledge glorified the spirit and the spirit’s perfect power, Barbelo, for because of her, foreknowledge had come into being. She asked again to be given incorruptibility, and the spirit consented. When the spirit consented, incorruptibility appeared and stood by thought and foreknowledge. Incorruptibility glorified the invisible one and Barbelo. Because of her they had come into being. Barbelo asked to be given life eternal, and the invisible spirit consented. When the spirit consented, life eternal appeared, and they stood together and glorified the invisible spirit and Barbelo. Because of her they had come into being. She asked again to be given truth, and the invisible spirit consented. Truth appeared, and they stood together and glorified the good invisible spirit and its Barbelo. Because of her they had come into being. This is the father’s realm of five. It is: the first human, the image of the invisible spirit, that is, forethought, which is Barbelo, and thought, along with foreknowledge, incorruptibility, life eternal, truth. This is the androgynous realm of five, which is the realm of ten, which is the father.

(25) And at that hour, when the spirit of righteousness descended into her mouth, she placed both her hands on the head of Jacob, and said : 1 Cf? John xiv. , xv. , xvi. (rb vvtvua tiji AxnffUr) ; a variant reading here is " Holy Spirit."

(41) They are the guardians of the works of the Father, and of the One Mind, the Intelligible.

(5) "And the Virgin of Light and the great guide of the Midst, whom the rulers of the æons are wont to call the Great Yew after the name of a great ruler who is in their region,--he and the Virgin of Light and his twelve ministers, from whom ye have received your shape and from whom ye have received the power, they all will be kings with the first saviour of the first Voice in the region of the souls of those who will receive the first mystery of the First Mystery in the inheritances of the Light. "And the fifteen helpers of the seven virgins of the Light who are in the Midst, they will expand themselves in the regions of the twelve saviours, and the rest of the angels of the Midst, every one of them according to his glory, will rule with me in the inheritances of the Light. And I shall rule over them all in the inheritances of the Light.

(10) And Thou knowest how Thy Watchers, the fathers of these spirits, acted in my day : and as for these spirits which are living, imprison them and hpld them fast in the place of condemnation, and let them not bring destruction on the sons of thy servant, my God ; for these are malignant, and created in 1 ». e. the spirits which issued from the children of the angels and the daughters of men. order to destroy.

(12) Ananias! Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, and hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.

(10) The Person is all this, sacrifice, penance, Brahman, the highest immortal; he who knows this hidden in the cave (of the heart), he, O friend, scatters the knot of ignorance here on earth.

(125) Yet you are to know that every angel has all the seven spirits in him, but one of the seven is chief or principal. Now behold!

(17) The angel's body, or the comprehensibility, is from or out of the seventh spirit, and the birth or geniture in that body is the six qualifying or fountain spirits; and the spirit or the heart, which the six spirits generate in the centre of the body, in which the light riseth up, and the animated or soulish spirit out of the light, which also qualifieth, uniteth or operateth with the Deity, without, distinct from the body, that signifieth the heart of God, out of which the Holy Ghost goeth forth.

(2) The intelligent, whose body is spirit, whose form is light, whose thoughts are true, whose nature is like ether (omnipresent and invisible), from whom all works, all desires, all sweet odours and tastes proceed; he who embraces all this, who never speaks, and is never surprised,

(3) He who, dwelling in the wind, yet is other than the wind, whom the wind does not know, whose body the wind is, who controls the wind from within — He is your Soul, the Inner Controller, the Immortal.
