(4) Henceforth let me live upon corn in your presence, ye gods, and let there come one who bringeth to me that I may feed from those seven loaves which he hath brought for Horus and upon the loaves for Thoth

(11) And there came to him this year all those that wished to sow, and he went with them until the time of sowing ceased : and they sowed their land, and that year they brought enough grain home and ate and were satisfied.

(40) And Joseph gathered food into every city until they were full of corn until they could no longer count and measure it for its multitude.

(4) And thus they found the food, and this was what went into the flesh of created man, the made man; this was his blood; of this the blood of man was made. So the corn entered [into the formation of man] by the work of the Forefathers.

(2) They assembled, came together and held council in the darkness and in the night; then they sought and discussed, and here they reflected and thought. In this way their decisions came dearly to light and they found and discovered what must enter into the flesh of man. It was just before the sun, the moon, and the stars appeared over the Creators and Makers. From Paxil, from Cayalá, as they were called, came the yellow ears of corn and the white ears of corn.

(6) And he placed the fat thereof on the aitar, and he took an ox, and a goat, and a sheep and kids, and salt, and a turtle-dove, and the young of a dove, and placed a burnt sacrifice on the altar, and poured thereon an offering mingled with oil, and sprinkled wine and strewed frankincense over everything, and caused a goodly savour to arise, acceptable before the Lord.

(7) After that they began to talk about the creation and the making of our first mother and father; of yellow corn and of white corn they made their flesh; of corn-meal dough they made the arms and the legs of man. Only dough of corn meal went into the flesh of our first fathers, the four men, who were created.

(9) Jesus said, "Now the sower went out, took a handful (of seeds), and scattered them. Some fell on the road; the birds came and gathered them up. Others fell on the rock, did not take root in the soil, and did not produce ears. And others fell on thorns; they choked the seed(s) and worms ate them. And others fell on the good soil and produced good fruit: it bore sixty per measure and a hundred and twenty per measure."

(42) And he filled their sacks with corn, and he put their gold in their sacks, and they did not know.

(7) And he placed all their offerings mingled with oil upon it, and afterwards he sprinkled wine on the fire which he had previously made on the altar, and he placed incense on the altar and caused a sweet savour to ascend acceptable before the Lord his God.

(18) And he said, " God will provide for himself a sheep for a burnt-offering, my son." And he drew near to the place of the mount of God.

(43) And to their father he sent raiment and silver and ten asses which carried corn, and he sent them away.

(44) And he celebrated the harvest festival of the first-fruits l with old grain, for in all the land of Canaan there was not a handful of seed (in the land), for the famine was over all the beasts and cattle and birds, and also over man.

(493) 1059 To say: Greetings to you, who rule over abundance, 1059 who look after food, who reside as ruler of the green field, 1059b + 1 (N. XXVII 704). and drop with my (or, his) anus like eret. 1061a + 1 (Nt. 704). I give offerings and distribute food 1061a + 2 (N. 1055 + 50). like him with the long wings who lives in the Marsh of Reeds. 1061 Wind is in my nose; seed is in my phallus, 1061 as (seed is in the phallus) of him of mysterious form, who lives in splendour. 1061c + 1 (N. 1055 + 50. N. sees Nun, 1061c + 2 (Nt. 705). when she appears on her way. 1061c + 3 (N. 1055 + 51). Honour will be given to N.; 1061c + 4 (Nt. 706). N. will be great because of her power; there will be a six days' feast in Hri-`; 1062. (Nt. 706). N. will eat of the pregnant cow like those who are in Heliopolis.

(32) And he and all his sons and his men were eating (this) with joy there during seven days and blessing and thanking the Lord, who had delivered him out of all his tribulation and had given him his vow.

Before Christ came there was no bread in the world, just as paradise, where Adam lived, had many trees for animal food but no wheat for human food, and people ate like animals. But when Christ, the perfect human, came, he brought bread from heaven, that humans might be fed with human food.

(15) And he offered new offerings on the altar, the first-fruits of the produce, unto the Lord, an heifer and a goat and a sheep on the altar as a burnt sacrifice unto the Lord ; their fruit-offerings and their drink-offerings he offered upon the altar with frankincense.

(13) Yea, O messenger, thou questionest me that I may reveal My ways to the people, though thou knowest them. O Moses, go and sow seed in the ground In order to do justice to this question." When Moses had sowed and his seed had grown up, He took a sickle and reaped the corn, And then a divine voice reached his ears: "Why hast thou sown and nurtured the corn, And then cut it down directly it was ripe?" Moses replied, "Lord, I cut it and lay it low Grain is out of place in the straw-yard,

(45) And Joseph took of the corn of the harvest the fifth part for the kirg and left four parts for them for food and for seed, and Joseph made it an ordinance for the land of Egypt until this day.

(24) For this World is like a Field, wherein good Seed is sown, into which the Enemy calls Weeds [or Tares,] and goes his Way, which grow together until the Time of the Harvest, when all the [Fruit] shall be gathered, and brought into the Barn; of which Christ also saith, That the Tares [or Weeds] shall be tied up in Bundles, and cast into the Fire, and the Wheat shall be brought into the Barn.
