(29) And in the first 2136 a. m year 0f the fifth week in this jubilee he crossed the Jordan, and dwelt beyond the Jordan, and he pas- tured his sheep from the sea |of the heapj unto Bethshan, and unto Dothan and unto the fiorestt of Akrabbim.

(8) And it goeth forth towards the north to the limits of Gadir, and it goeth forth to the coast of the waters of the sea to the waters of the great sea till it draweth near to the river Gihon, and goeth along the river Gihon till it reacheth the right of the Garden of Eden.

(13) And he removed from thence and went towards the south, and he came to Hebron, and Hebron was built at that time, and he dwelt there two years, and he went (thence) into the land of the south, to Bealoth, and there was a famine in the land.

(13) He came on to the water which was arranged below the earth, and then the middle of this earth was pierced and entered by him.

(9) And Ham divided amongst his sons, and the first portion came forth for Cush ll towards the east, and to the west of him for Mizraim,* and to the west 1 -290 Japheth 's portion (N. Asia, Europe, five great islands) ; cf. ix. -13. 10 Including, probably, Cyprus, Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica. ., u -, Ethiopia. " i. $. Egypt. 9 of him for Put, and to the west of him [and to the west thereof] on the sea * for Canaan.

(48) And I stood between the Egyptians and Israel, and we delivered Israel out of his hand, and out of the hand of his people, and the Lord brought them through the midst of the sea as if it were dry land.

(10) Buthe did nothearken unto them, and dwelt in the land of Lebanon from Hamath • to the entering of Egypt, he and his sons until this day.

(89) And that sea was divided, and the water stood on this side and on that before their face, and their Lord led them and placed Himself between them and the wolves.

(8) And it extendeth towards the east, till it reacheth the Garden of Eden, to the south thereof, [to the south] and from the east of the whole land of Eden and of the whole east, it turneth to the feast,! * and proceedeth till it reacheth the east of the mountain named Rafa, and it descendeth to the bank of the mouth of the river Tina.

(8) According to Epiphanius it extended from Persia and Bactria to India, to Rhinocurura (between Egypt and Palestine). And his portion extendeth along the great sea, and it extendeth in a straight line till it reacheth the west of the tongue which looketh towards the south ; l for this sea is named the tongue of the Egyptian Sea.

(8) And it turneth from here towards the south towards the mouth of the great sea on the shore of (its) waters, and it extendeth to the west to ' Af ra,* and it extendeth till it reacheth the waters of the river Gihon, and to the south of the waters of Gihon,* to the banks of this river.

(10) And Canaan saw the land of Lebanon to the river of Egypt that it was very good, and he went not into the land of his inheritance to the west (that is to) the sea, and he dwelt in the land of Lebanon, eastward and westward from the border of Jordan and from the border of the sea.s

(10) And Japheth and his sons went towards the sea and dwelt in the land of their portion, and Madai saw the land of the sea and it did not please him, and he begged a (portion) from Elam and Asshur and Arpachshad, 1 " South " should be " north " here : N. Africa is meant. ' Canaan wrongfully seized Palestine, which belonged by right to Arpachshad. his wife's brother, and he dwelt in the land of Media, near to his wife's brother until this day.

(16) And jn this month Abraham moved from Hebron, and departed and dwelt between Kadesh and Shur in the mountains l of Gerar. II. And in the middle of the fifth mouth lie moved from thence, and dwelt at the Well of the Oath.'

(8) And Jesus and his disciples remained in the midst in an aëry region on the ways of the way of the midst, which lieth below the sphere. And they came to the first order of the way of the midst. And Jesus stood in the air of its region with his disciples. The disciples of Jesus said unto him: "What is this region in which we are?

Jesus revealed himself [at the] Jordan River as the fullness of heaven’s kingdom. The one [conceived] before all was conceived again; the one anointed before was anointed again; the one redeemed redeemed others.

(4) Now follow me, and mind thou do not place As yet thy feet upon the burning sand, But always keep them close unto the wood." Speaking no word, we came to where there gushes Forth from the wood a little rivulet, Whose redness makes my hair still stand on end. As from the Bulicame springs the brooklet, The sinful women later share among them, So downward through the sand it went its way. The bottom of it, and both sloping banks, Were made of stone, and the margins at the side; Whence I perceived that there the passage was. These words were of my Leader; whence I prayed him That he would give me largess of the food, For which he had given me largess of desire. "In the mid-sea there sits a wasted land," Said he thereafterward, "whose name is Crete, Under whose king the world of old was chaste.

(9) Jesus said: "These are the regions of the way of the midst. For it came to pass, when the rulers of Adamas mutinied and persistently practised congress, procreating rulers, archangels, angels, servitors and decans, that Yew, the father of my father, came forth from the Right and bound them to a Fate-sphere. "For there are twelve æons; over six Sabaōth, the Adamas, ruleth, and his brother Yabraōth ruleth over the other six. At that time then Yabraōth with his rulers had faith in the mysteries of the Light and was active in the mysteries of the Light and abandoned the mystery of congress. But Sabaōth, the Adamas, and his rulers have persisted in the practice of congress. "And when Yew, the father of my father, saw that Yabraōth had faith, he carried him and all the rulers who had had faith with him, took him unto himself out of the sphere and led him into a purified air in face of the light of the sun between the regions of those of the midst and between [?] the regions of the invisible god. He posted him there with the rulers who had had faith in him. "But he carried Sabaōth, the Adamas, and his rulers who had not been active in the mysteries of the Light, but have been persistently active in the mysteries of congress, and inbound them into the sphere.

(13) And Abram journeyed from Haran, and he took Sarai, his wife, and Lot, his brother Harass son , to the land of Canaan , and he came into tAsshurt. and proceeded to Shechem, and dwelt near a lofty aaj^f
