(4) And this is what the Son of Man reveals to us: It is fitting for you (pl.) to receive the word of truth, if one will receive it perfectly. But as for one who is in ignorance, it is difficult for him to diminish his works of darkness which he has done. Those who have known Imperishability, however, have been able to struggle against passions [...]. I have said to you, "Do not build nor gather for yourselves in the place where the brigands break open, but bring forth fruit to the Father."

(9) Do not expect, therefore, the carnal resurrection, which is destruction; and they are not stripped of it (the flesh) who err in expecting a resurrection that is empty. They do not know the power of God, nor do they understand the interpretation of the scriptures, on account of their double-mindedness. (52) Men's fpraying for, prevails thus far; if a Soul hangs to the Thread of the new Regeneration, and that it is not a total Worm and Beast, and that it presses into God with an earnest Desire, and if there be true Christians [there,] which stand unfeignedly in the new Birth, and that their Spirit of the Soul (in their burning Love towards the poor Soul) does press into God with the Thread of the Band of the poor Soul, then indeed it helps the poor Soul to wrestle, and to break in Pieces the Chains of the Devil, especially if it be done before the poor soul be departed from the body; and especially by Parents, Children, Sisters, and Brothers, or Kindred of the Blood. For their Tinctures qualify [or mingle] therewith, as being generated from one and the same Blood; and the Spirit of their Soul enters much more freely and willingly into this great Combat, and gets Victory much sooner and more powerfully than Strangers, if they stand in the new Birth; but without the new Birth no Victory is gained. There is no Devil that does destroy another [Devil.]

(6) The Lord said: O Pārtha, there is no destruction for him either in this world or the next: no evil, My son, befalls a man who does good.

(12) Deliver me from the hands of evil spirits who have sway over the thoughts of men's hearts, And let them not lead me astray from Thee, my God. And stablish Thou me and my seed for ever That we go not astray from henceforth and for evermore."

(10) (Yea, let Thy believer wound the wicked to the quick), for he, who totally estranged from this (our holy rule ), O Mazda! seeks to destroy my life, is a son of the Lie's creation, and belongs to the miscreants; (but as for me), I call on Asha (Thy Righteous Order to be my help); and may he come with Thy good blessing.

(69) For men were created exactly like the angels, to the intent that they should continue pure and righteous, and death, which destroys everything, could not have taken hold of them, but through this their knowledge they are perishing, and through this power it is consuming me†.

(35) If that will not succeed to his purpose, then he strikes many a hard blow at the head, and that man must continually lie under the cross, affliction and misery in this world.

(130) All men tremble at punishment, all men love life; remember that thou art like unto them, and do not kill, nor cause slaughter.

(10) Now the energy of the Lord has a reference to the Almighty; and the Son is, so to speak, an energy of the Father. Therefore, a hater of man, the Saviour can never be; who, for His exceeding love to human flesh, despising not its susceptibility to suffering, but investing Himself with it, came for the common salvation of men; for the faith of those who have chosen it, is common. Nay more, He will never neglect His own work, because man alone of all the other living creatures was in his creation endowed with a conception of God. Nor can there be any other better and more suitable government for men than that which is appointed by God.

(46) And I asked the angel who went with me and showed me all the hidden things, concerning that Son of Man, who he was, and whence he was, (and) why he went with the Head of Days? And he answered and said unto me: This is the son of Man who hath righteousness, With whom dwelleth righteousness, And who revealeth all the treasures of that which is hidden, Because the Lord of Spirits hath chosen him, And whose lot hath the pre-eminence before the Lord of Spirits in uprightness for ever. 4, And this Son of Man whom thou hast seen Shall †raise up† the kings and the mighty from their seats, [And the strong from their thrones] And shall loosen the reins of the strong, And break the teeth of the sinners.

(27) My son, how will you be able to comprehend the schemes of this one, or his soul-killing counsel? For his devices, and the schemes of his wickedness, are many. And think about his entrances, that is, how he will enter your soul, and in what garment he will enter you.

"For flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, neither doth corruption inherit incorruption." "Lo, ye shall die like men," the Spirit has said, confuting us.

(1) SOME men the fiend will deceive on this manner. Full wonderfully he will enflame their brains to maintain God’s law, and to destroy sin in all other men. He will never tempt them with a thing that is openly evil; he maketh them like busy prelates watching over all the degrees of Christian men’s living, as an abbot over his monks. ALL men will they reprove of their defaults, right as they had cure of their souls: and yet they think that they do not else for God, unless they tell them their defaults that they see. And they say that they be stirred thereto by the fire of charity, and of God’s love in their hearts: and truly they lie, for it is with the fire of hell, welling in their brains and in their imagination.

(16) Not men or gods, or the glorified ones or the damned; not generations past, present, or future, shall inflict any injury upon me

(50) They shall have no honour through the name of the Lord of Spirits, Yet through His name shall they be saved, And the Lord of Spirits will have compassion on them, For His compassion is great.

(38) And thenceforward none shall seek for themselves mercy from the Lord of Spirits For their life is at an end.

(53) For every man that desireth to be saved, must, with his innate, instant births or genitures, be as the whole Deity with all the three births in this world is.
