(5) And she twice recounted severally her own evil deeds, and it pleased him not; and that wicked evil spirit rose not from that confusion, through fear of the righteous man.

(42) And unrighteousness went forth from her chambers: Whom she sought not she found, And dwelt with them, As rain in a desert And dew on a thirsty land.

(33) And she lamented because of this thing exceedingly, and did not tell it to anyone.

(107) And the gods her helpers, who marched by her side

(8) But if the Savior made her worthy, who are you indeed to reject her? Surely the Savior knows her very well.

(9) That is why He loved her more than us. Rather let us be ashamed and put on the perfect Man, and separate as He commanded us and preach the gospel, not laying down any other rule or other law beyond what the Savior said.

(25) Hereby we may plainly see that those two sisters dwell together. Moreover since this sheer pride thinketh to know and understand more than all men besides, therefore she chooseth to prate more than all other men, and would fain have her opinions and speeches to be alone regarded and listened to, and counteth all that others think and say to be wrong, and holdeth it in derision as a folly.

(432) beyond a doubt she is somewhere in this country: watch therefore and strive to catch a sight of her, and if you see her first, let me know. Like people who go about looking for what they have in their hands— that was the way with us—we looked not at what we were seeking, but at what was far off in the distance; and therefore, I suppose, we missed her. What do you mean? I mean to say that in reality for a long time past we have been talking of justice, and have failed to recognise her. I grow impatient at the length of your exordium.

(95) But that they feign [or-babble] that she was taken up into Heaven alive with Soul and Body, and that she can carry our Miseries, and present them before her Son, I would fain know what Understanding and Knowledge the Author of such an invented Fable has had of the Kingdom of Heaven. Surely he took the Kingdom of this World to be Heaven.

(2) But Andrew answered and said to the brethren, Say what you wish to say about what she has said. I at least do not believe that the Savior said this. For certainly these teachings are strange ideas.

I pass over in silence Susanna and the sister of Moses, since the latter was the prophet's associate in commanding the host, being superior to all the women among the Hebrews who were in repute for their wisdom; and the former in her surpassing modesty, going even to death condemned by licentious admirers, remained the unwavering martyr of chastity.

(41) And lie returned and informed him; and said unto him that lie had not found her ; " I asked the people of the place, and they said unto me : ' There is no harlothere.' " And he said : " Lether keep (them) lest we become a cause of derision."

(41) And for that reason she was not given to Shelah, and he did not again approach her.

(41) Buthe hated, and did not lie with her, because his mother was of the daughters of Canaan, and he wished to take him a wife of the kinsfolk of his mother, but Judah, his father, would not permit him.
