(37) And this is the beginning of the words of wisdom which I lifted up my voice to speak and say to those which dwell on earth: Hear, ye men of old time, and see, ye that come after, the words of the Holy One which I will speak before the Lord of Spirits.

(4) Not with an intent to set on foot any new thing, for I have no command to do so; but my knowledge stands in this birth or geniture of the stars, in the midst or centre, where the life is generated, and breaketh through death, and where the moving spirit existeth and breaketh through; and in the impulse or moving thereof I also write.

(136) Now I speak here not only of the heaven above the earth, but this stirring and birth or geniture was also in the earth, and everywhere.

(5) of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

(1) MORE devices tell I thee not at this time; for an thou have grace to feel the proof of these, I trow that thou shalt know better to learn me than I thee. For although it should be thus, truly yet me think that I am full far therefrom. And therefore I pray thee help me, and do thou for thee and for me.

(2) Behold ye the earth, and give heed to the things which take place upon it from first to last, ⌈how steadfast they are⌉, how ⌈none of the things upon earth⌉ change, ⌈but⌉ all the works of God appear ⌈to you⌉.

(4) 'Open the door of the world (the earth), let us see thee, that we may rule (on earth).'

(6) Seeing then that my Knowledge has been received by seeking and knocking, I therefore write it down for a Memorial, that I might occasion a Desire in any to seek after them, and thereby my Talent might be improved, and not be hid in the Earth. But I have not written this for those that are wise beforehand, that know all Things, and yet know and comprehend nothing, for they are fully satisfied already, and rich; but I have written it for the Simple, as I am, that I may be refreshed with those that are like myself. (9) Thine, O Ahura! was Piety; yea, Thine, O Creator of the Kine! was understanding and the Spirit , when Thou didst order a path for her (guiding). From the earth's tiller (aided ) she goeth (in that allotted way), or from him who was never tiller. (Thy path hath given her choice .)

(6) But so much more malignant and more savage Becomes the land untilled and with bad seed, The more good earthly vigour it possesses. Some time did I sustain him with my look; Revealing unto him my youthful eyes, I led him with me turned in the right way. As soon as ever of my second age I was upon the threshold and changed life, Himself from me he took and gave to others. When from the flesh to spirit I ascended, And beauty and virtue were in me increased, I was to him less dear and less delightful; And into ways untrue he turned his steps, Pursuing the false images of good, That never any promises fulfil;

(5) Yet would I not thy neighbours thou shouldst envy, Because thy life into the future reaches Beyond the punishment of their perfidies." When by its silence showed that sainted soul That it had finished putting in the woof Into that web which I had given it warped, Began I, even as he who yearneth after, Being in doubt, some counsel from a person Who seeth, and uprightly wills, and loves: "Well see I, father mine, how spurreth on The time towards me such a blow to deal me As heaviest is to him who most gives way. Therefore with foresight it is well I arm me, That, if the dearest place be taken from me, I may not lose the others by my songs. Down through the world of infinite bitterness, And o'er the mountain, from whose beauteous summit The eyes of my own Lady lifted me, And afterward through heaven from light to light, I have learned that which, if I tell again, Will be a savour of strong herbs to many. And if I am a timid friend to truth, I fear lest I may lose my life with those Who will hereafter call this time the olden."

(3) That earth again is the body in man, for in it the vital airs (prânas , which are everything) rest, and do not go beyond.

(23) Thus know (my beloved Reader) that our Father Adam is gone out of this Glory into the Out-Birth of the Substance of this World; and now if he is to be helped, then the Barmhertzigkeit, or Mercifulness of God (as above-mentioned) must new regenerate him; and in this Mercifulness of God Man was foreseen (before the Foundation of the World was laid) to live eternally therein, for (as to his Soul) he is out of the eternal Will of God the Father, out of which this Mercifulness is generated. (26) Or what shall I say? Must I not in this Body (which I here in the Earthliness carry about me) through the new Man, reveal the Wonders of God, that so his Wonders might be manifested? I speak not only concerning myself, but concerning all Men, good and bad; every one must manifest the great Wonders (wherein he stands) in his Kingdom, whether it be in Love or Anger, after the Breaking [or Dissolution] of this World, it must all stand in the Figure. For at present this World stands in the Creating, and in the Sowing, and is like a Field which bears Fruit.

(7) Those who take shelter in me, striving for liberation from old-age and death, come to know Brahman , the individual self, and the entire field of karmic action.

(160) It becometh you to hasten unto the Light, and to the Rays of the Father, from whom was sent unto you a Soul (Psyche) endued with much mind (Nous).

(14) I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

(4) Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

(6) "And you, increase ye and multiply upon the earth, and become many upon it, and be a blessing upon it. The fear of you and the dread of you I shall inspire in everything that is on earth and in the sea.

(13) You are unborn, you have appeared to reveal the eternal.
