(26) Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

(5) Therefore it is that we both, my soul and (the soul) of the mother Kine, (are) making our supplications for the two worlds to Ahura, and with hands stretched out in entreaty, when (we pray to the Great Creator with questions in our doubt ; (and He will answer). Not for the righteous liver, not for the thrifty (tiller of the earth), shall there be destruction together with the wicked!

(384) 672 To say: This hand of N., which is come against thee, 672 is the hand of tt.t, the great, who is in the "house of life." 672 He who was seized by her has lived no longer; he who was struck by her has not fastened on his head (again). 672 Fall, glide away.

(24) The fingers and toes also have special significance. The toes represent the Ten Commandments of the physical law and the fingers the Ten Commandments of the spiritual law. The four fingers of each hand represent the four elements and the three phalanges of each finger represent the divisions of the element, so that in each hand there are twelve parts to the fingers, which are analogous to the signs of the zodiac, whereas the two phalanges and base of each thumb signify the threefold Deity. The first phalange corresponds to the creative aspect, the second to the preservative aspect, and the base to the generative and destructive aspect. When the hands are brought together, the result is the twenty-four Elders and the six Days of Creation.

(5) All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

(45) The hands signify God's omnipotence; for as God in nature can change all things, and make of them what he pleaseth, so man also can with his hands change all things which grow in or proceed from nature, and can make with his hands out of them what he pleaseth: He ruleth with his hands the work and being of the whole nature, and so they very well signify the omnipotence of God. Now observe here further,

(11) O thousand-armed one, though you are the embodiment of all creation, I wish to see you in your four-armed form, carrying the mace and disc, and wearing the crown.

Take it to thyself (as) thy nw. A rwd-nw-whip 71 49 + 10 (Nt. 3 2 6). To say: Thou belongest to him. To say: Osiris N., seize it for thyself; hasten to Osiris N. A sacred 'ir-weapon (?). 71 49 + 'I (Nt. 327). To say: Said Geb, Thot, bring him that bow. A pd-`h`wweapon. 71 49 + 12 (Nt. 328) --------- this ``-bow, in the presence of N., the `` of N. A pd-``w-weapon.

(2) And first I will ask for these two blessings of Your own, O Thou Great Creator, and thou His Righteous Order! and I also ask of thee, Our Piety (personified, as well); and grant me this Your Sovereign Rule over our desired wealth (to give and to preserve it; and likewise) those spiritual blessings which are advantageous for our worship (of Ahura) through (the inspiration of His) Good Mind (within the soul).

(21) Peter saith, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. Jesus saith unto him,

(26) A hand covered with numerous symbols was extended to the neophytes when they entered into the Temple of Wisdom. An understanding of the embossed upon the surface of the hand brought with it Divine power and regeneration Therefore, by means of these symbolic hands the candidate was said to be raised from the dead.

(104) Now, therefore, I swear to you, the righteous, by the glory of the Great and Honoured and 2 Mighty One in dominion, and by His greatness I swear to you:

(49) May he hold the Beginning and the Future 1, may they 2 pay homage unto him

(11) Thou art Wind and Death and Fire and Moon and the Lord of Water. Thou art Prajāpati and the Great-grandsire. Salutations, salutations to Thee a thousand times, and again and yet again salutations, salutations to Thee!

(11) When I behold Thy mouths, striking terror with their tusks, like Time’s all-consuming fire, I am disoriented and find no peace. Be gracious, Ο Lord of the gods, Ο Abode of the universe!

(6) And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

(32) In the mouth of mankind 1 whom his hands have made!

(4) You are a triple power, you are a great One from a pure One.
