(40) Behold! the Stars are risen or proceeded out of the kindled House of God's Wrath, as the Mobility or Stirring of a Child in the Mother's Body or Womb in three Months. But now they have attained their Kindling from the eternal benumbed, not quite dead, Water of Life; for that Water in Nature was never dead. [As Gen. 3. 24.]

(33) For from the Heaven the Stars have their first Kindling, and are only as an Instrument, which God useth to the Birth or Geniture.

(4) "Up to the time of the cipher for them to come forth again, the rulers mutiny through the wrath of their wickedness, going straightway up to the lights, because they [Yew and Melchisedec] are not with them at that time, and they carry off the souls which they may be able to snatch away in ravishment, and destroy them through their dark smoke and their evil fire.

(6) But if they do neglect and do riot observe them according to His commandment, then they will disturb all their seasons, and the years will be dislodged from this (order), [and they will disturb the seasons and the years will be dislodged] and they will neglect their ordinances.

(119) He fixed a vast multitude of un-wandering Stars, not by a strain laborious and hurtful, but with stability void of movement, forcing Fire forward into Fire.

(1) "It came to pass then, when I came into their region, that they mutinied and fought against the light. And I took the third of their power, in order that they should not be able to accomplish their evil deeds. And the Fate and the sphere, over which they rule, I have changed, and set them facing the left six months and accomplishing their influences, and I have set them turned another six months to the right and accomplishing their influences."

(29) But that the Birth or the Bodies of the Stars do not change or alter in their Seat, but as they did from Eternity, it signifies that there shall be a constant continued Birth or Geniture, whereby the benumbed Body of the Earth should continually and constantly, in one uniform Operation, which yet stands in the Infinity, be kindled again, and generate itself anew, and so also should the House of Darkness of the Deep above the Earth; whereby the new Body might continually and constantly be generated out of Death, till Time should be accomplished, and the whole new Body. Now thou wilt object and say: Then sure the Stars are God; and they must be honoured and worshipped as God.

(27) But the Stars in general are, and signify the wonderful Proportion, or changing Variety of God. For when God created the Stars, he created them out of the Rising up of the Infinity, out of the old Body of God then further kindled.

(2) "When then they mutinied and fought against the light, thereon by command of the First Mystery I changed the paths and the courses of their æons and the paths of their Fate and of their sphere. I made them face six months towards the triangles on the left and towards the squares and towards those in their aspect and towards their octagons, just as they had formerly been. But their manner of turning, or facing, I changed to another order, and made them other six months face towards the works of their influences in the squares on the right and in their triangles and in those in their aspect and in their octagons. And I made them to be confounded in great confusion and deluded in great delusion --the rulers of the æons and all the rulers of the Fate and those of the sphere; and I set them in great agitation, and thence on they were no longer able to turn towards the refuse of their matter to devour it, in order that their regions may continue to delay and they [themselves] may spend a long time as rulers. "But when I had taken away a third of their power, I changed their spheres, so that they spend a time facing to the left and another time

(19) And these shall serve To lay the foundations of the heaven, And to strengthen the earth, And to renew all the luminaries which are in the firmament."

(66) and had so continued, if the seven Planets and Stars had not risen or sprung up from God's Spirits, which opened again and kindled the Chambers of Death in the dark House of this World, in all Places every where, from whence exists the Regimen or Dominion of the Elements.

(101) For Evening and Morning were not before the Time of the Sun and Stars, which most certainly and really were first created but on the fourth Day, which I shall demonstrate from an assured certain Ground, concerning the Creation of the Sun and Stars.

The FUMIGATION from AROMATICS. WITH holy voice I call the stars on high, Pure sacred lights and genii of the sky. Celestial stars, the progeny of Night, In whirling circles beaming far your light, Refulgent rays around the heav'ns ye throw, Eternal fires, the source of all below. With flames significant of Fate ye shine, And aptly rule for men a path divine. In seven bright zones ye run with wand'ring flames, And heaven and earth compose your lucid frames: With course unwearied, pure and fiery bright Forever shining thro' the veil of Night. Hail twinkling, joyful, ever wakeful fires! Propitious shine on all my just desires; These sacred rites regard with conscious rays, And end our works devoted to your praise.

(61) Here at His command wisdom was shed down like rain, Clouds and sun, and moon and lofty stars, All come and go in obedience to His ordinance; No one of them comes save at His appointed time; Whereas you understood not this secret, the prophets Have instilled this knowledge into stone and staff; So that you may infer that other inanimate things The obedience of stone and staff is shown to you, They cry, "We are all aware of God and obey Him; We are not destructive by mere fortuitous chance."

(3) "And the Fate and the sphere over which they rule, I have changed and brought it to pass that they spend six months turned to the left and accomplish their influences, and that six months they face to the right and accomplish their influences. For by command of the First Commandment and by command of the First Mystery Yew, the Overseer of the Light, had set them facing the left at every time and accomplishing their influences and their deeds.
