(6) And lo, though he be buried in the deep deep Grave, and bowed down to the region of annihilation, he is glorified there

(5) When he had spoken, while they beheld, he was taken up.

(4) And he was taken from amongst the children of men, and we conducted" him into the Garden of Eden in majesty and honour, and behold there he wnteth down the condemnation and judgment of the world, and all the wickedness of the children of men.

(1) It came to pass then, when that light-power had come down over Jesus, that it gradually surrounded him entirely. Then Jesus ascended or soared into the height, shining most exceedingly in an immeasurable light. And the disciples gazed after him and none of them spake, until he had reached unto heaven; but they all kept in deep silence. This then came to pass on the fifteenth day of the moon, on the day on which it is full in the month Tybi.

(14) And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

(13) And his name became that of Horus upon his Column

(132) This high and mighty, glorious and beautiful King, lost his right Name in his Fall: For he is now called LUCIFER, that is, one carried forth or expelled out of the Light of God. [Lucifer'a.]

(3) When then Jesus said this, he chanted a song of praise in the great name. The regions of the ways of the midst hid themselves, and Jesus and his disciples remained in an air of exceedingly strong light.

(6) The theologians, having knowledge of this, celebrate It, both without Name and from every Name. Without name, as when they say that the Godhead Itself, in one of those mystical apparitions of the symbolical Divine manifestation, rebuked him who said, "What is thy name?" and as leading him away from all knowledge of the Divine Name, said this, "and why dost thou ask my Name? "and this (Name) "is wonderful," And is not this in reality the wonderful Name, that which is above every Name--the Nameless--that fixed above every name which is named, whether in this age or in that which is to come? Also, as "many named," as when they again introduce It as saying, "I am He, Who is--the Life--the Light--the God--the Truth." And when the wise of God themselves celebrate Him, as Author of all things, under many Names, from all created things--as Good--as Beautiful--as Wise--as Beloved--as God of gods--as Lord of lords--as Holy of Holies--as Eternal--as Being--as Author of Ages--as Provider of Life--as Wisdom--as Mind--as Word--as Knowing--as preeminently possessing all the treasures of all knowledge--as Power--as Powerful--as King of kings--as Ancient of days--as never growing old--and Unchangeable--as Preservation--as Righteousness--as Sanctification -- as Redemption--as surpassing all things in greatness--and as in a gentle breeze.--Yea, they also say that He is in minds, and in souls, and in bodies, and in heaven and in earth, and at once, the same in the same--in the world--around the world--above the world--supercelestial, superessential, sun, star--fire--water--spirit--dew--cloud--self-hewn stone and rock--all things existing--and not one of things existing.

(132) And he made the North wind bear it away into secret places

(32) And He finished speaking with him, and He went up from him, and Jacob looked till He had ascended into heaven.

(3) 'Thus does that serene being, arising from this body, appear in its own form, as soon as it has approached the highest light (the knowledge of Self ) He (in that state) is the highest person (uttama pûrusha). He moves about there laughing (or eating), playing, and rejoicing (in his mind), be it with women, carriages, or relatives, never minding that body into which he was born . 'Like as a horse attached to a cart, so is the spirit (prâna, pragñâtman) attached to this body.

(2) Horus has raised thee when he rose himself, as he did for him who is in the sacred abode

(26) They took him even as he was in the ship. And they launched forth.

(21) The agent is the property of the spirit, and not himself; His self is departed, and he has become the spirit. The Turk without instruction speaks Arabic; Seeing God is lord of spirits and of man, How can He be inferior in power to a spirit? When the eagle of alienation from self took wing, Bayazid began to utter similar speeches; The torrent of madness bore away his reason, "Within my vesture is naught but God, Whether you seek Him on earth or in heaven."

(66) Proclaim his fifty names, they made his path pre-eminent." 1

(15) When the Lord acquires a body, and when He leaves it, He takes these and goes, as the wind takes scents from their seats.

(1) When from thence he has risen upwards, he neither rises nor sets. He is alone, standing in the centre. And on this there is this verse:
