(18) Now the other Regions set themselves in Order; first the stern Flash, that is, the Gall; and beneath the Flash, the Fire, whose Region is the Heart; and beneath the Fire, the Water, whose Region is the Liver; and beneath the Water, the Earth, whose Region is [in] the Lungs.

(43) The South wind and the North wind and the East wind and the West wind

(29) Among the number (pavan aê mar) were those who are in the countries of Sûrâk, those who are in the country of Anêr, those who are in the countries of Tûr, those who are in the country of Salm which is Arûm, those who are in the country of Sênî, that which is Kînîstân, those who are in the country of Dâî, and those who are in the country of Sînd.

(9) And for Meshech came forth the sixth portion, all the region beyond the third tongue • till it approacheth the east of Gadir.

(9) And for Arpachshad came forth the third portion, all the land of the region of the Chaldees io the east of the Euphrates, bordering on lV the Red Sea, and all the waters of the desert close to r ' the tongue of the sea which looketh towards! Egypt, all the land of Lebanon and Sanfr and 'Amana to the border of the Euphrates.

(64) Opinions differ as to the arrangement of the globes of this last world, D 1 to D 10 inclusive. The ruler of the fourth world is D 1, called by some the Fiery Heaven; by others the Primum Mobile, or the First Motion. From this whirling fire emanates the material starry zodiac, D 2, in contradistinction to the invisible spiritual zodiac of the Yetziratic World. From the zodiac, D 2, are differentiated the spheres of the planets in concatenate order. The ten spheres of the World of Assiah are as follows:

(4) If the Sky is at the North I sit at the South; if the Sky is at the South I sit at the North; if the Sky is at the West I sit at the East; and if the Sky is at the East I sit at the West

(37) The First Course is Sacred, in the middle lace courses the Sun, [1] in the third the Earth is heated by the internal fire.

(15) And the three kingdoms are circular round about the Son of God, neither of them is farther from or nearer to the Son of God, for one is equally as near about the Son of God as another.

(63) Thus thou seest that none of the powers is the first, also none the second, third, fourth or last; but the last generateth the first, as well as the first the last, and the middlemost taketh its original from the last, as also from the first, as well as from the second, third, or any of the rest.

(8) And it came to pass in the beginning of the thirty-third jubilee that they divided the earth into three parts, for Shem and flam and Japheth, according to the inheritance of each, in the first year in the first week, when one of us, who had been sent, was with them.

(17) From the south, the Yellow Tseurima, holding a bow and arrow, ready to shoot; from the west, the Red Pramoha, holding a maWa-banner; from the north, the Black Petali, holding a dorje and a blood-filled skull-bowl; from the south-east, the Red Pukkase, holding intestines in the right [hand] and [with] the left putting them to her mouth; from the south-west, the Dark-Green Ghasmarl, the left [hand] holding a blood- filled skull-bowl, [with] the right stirring it with a dorje, and [she then] drinking it with majestic relish; from the north-west, the Yellowish- White Tsandhal?, tearing asunder a head from a corpse, the right [hand] holding a heart, the left putting the corpse to the mouth and [she then] eating [thereof]; from the north-east, the Dark-Blue Smasha, tearing asunder a head from a corpse and eating [thereof]: these, the Eight Kerimas of the Abodes [or Eight Directions], also come to shine upon thee, surrounding the Five Blood-drinking Fathers. Yet be not afraid.

(3) These, then, are the names of those who went there to the other side of the sea; the three went then, and were endowed with intelligence and experience, but they were not common men. They took leave of all their brothers and relatives and left joyfully. "We shall not die; we shall return," said the three when they left.

(1) Then they decided to go to the east, thinking thus to fulfill the command of their fathers which they had not forgotten. It had been a long time since their fathers had died, when the tribes gave them their wives, and thus they acquired many relatives-in-law, when the three took wives.

(9) And for Javan * came forth the fourth portion every island • and the islands which are towards the border of Lud. II. And for Tubal * there came forth the fifth portion in the midst of the tongue which approacheth towards the border of the portion of Lud to the second tongue, to the region beyond the second tongue unto the third tongue.

(8) From there where the sun comes on on the longest day to where it comes on on the shortest day is the east region Savah; from there where it comes on on the shortest day to where it goes off on the shortest day is the direction of the south regions Fradadafsh and Vîdadafsh; from there where it goes in on the shortest day to where it goes in on the longest day is the west region Arzah; from there where it comes in on the longest day to there where it goes in on the longest day are the north regions Vôrûbarst and Vôrûgarst.

(8) And for Japheth came forth the third portion beyond * the river Tina to the north of the outflow of its waters, and it extendeth north-easterly to the whole region of Gog4 and to all the country east thereof.

(9) And there came forth for Lud8 the fifth portion, the mountains of Asshur and all appertaining to them till it reacheth ^ * -. the Great Sea, and till it reacheth the east of Asshur his brother.

(7) As it is said that Tîstar is the chieftain of the east, Satavês the chieftain of the west, Vanand the chieftain of the south, and Haptôk-rîng the chieftain of the north.

(6) To each one he gave a name, since the two orders are in a name. Those belonging to the thought and those of the representation are called "the Right Ones" and "Psychic" and "the Fiery Ones" and "the Middle Ones." Those who belong to the arrogant thought and those of the likeness are called "the Left", "Hylic", "the Dark Ones," and "the Last."
