(25) But there is a fierceness or wrath also in it, so that it killeth and destroyeth by its terrible disturbance. But the qualification taketh its original from the fierce disturbance or elevation, so that it moveth and driveth in every creature, from whence life has its originals and does exist; and therefore both of them must be in this life.

(18) The other kind or species is fierceness; for where this getteth power it suppresseth all, and spoils all, even as the heat does; no life could subsist in it if the heat did not hinder that. The fierceness of cold is a destruction to every life, and the house of death, even as the hot fierceness also is. Of the Qualification of the Air and the Water.

(32) But it has also in it another species or kind, namely, the fierceness or wrath, which is the very house of death, a corruption of all good, a perdition and destruction of the life in the flesh.

(69) Between these two qualities is heat generated from its hard and fierce bitter rubbing, tearing and raging, which riseth up in the bitter and hard quality, as a fierce wrathful kindling, and presseth quite through, as a hard fiery noise.

(24) In other cases, of persons of much evil karma, karmically-pvoduced flesh-eating rakshasas [or demons] bearing various weapons will utter, 'Strike! Slay!' and so on, making a frightful tumult. They will come upon one as if competing amongst themselves as to which [of them] should get hold of one. Apparitional illusions, too, of being pursued by various terrible beasts of prey will dawn. Snow, rain, darkness, fierce blasts [of wind], and hallucinations of being pursued by many people likewise will come; [and] sounds as of mountains crumbling down, and of angry overflowing seas, and of the roaring of fire, and of fierce winds springing up.

(3) To send the Flood, to crack the Whip. Do not snatch your feet away, do not turn your back,... strike even harder!"... may they be expelled.... head fell... and it/he confronted him... He could nor butt through the front, and could not scramble out the back, so that Gilgamesh'a weapons were in reach of Humbaba. Humbaba begged for his life, saying to Gilgamesh: "You are young yet, Gilgamesh, your mother gave birth to you, and you are the offspring of Rimnt-Nlnsun (?)... (It was) at the word of Shamash, Lord of the Mountain, that you were roused (to this expedition).

(8) Again, heat containeth also a fierceness or wrath, which burneth, consumeth and spoils; this wrath or fierceness springeth, driveth and elevateth itself in the light, and makes the light moveable.

(28) Rushing like a copious watercourse [which flowed] towards the north-west it caused clouds and dew to ascend on every side.

(13) And it is highly to be found and considered by us, in the Light of Nature, how the Fierceness [or Wrath] is the Root of all Things, and moreover the Originality of the Life; therein only consists the Might and the Power, and from thence only proceed the Wonders; and without the Fierceness [or Wrath] there would be no Enmity, but all [would be as it were] a nothing, as is formerly mentioned.

(66) From Him leap forth the Amilicti, the all-relentless thunders, and the whirlwind receiving Bosoms of the all-splendid Strength of Hecaté Father-begotten; and He who encircleth the Brilliance of Fire; And the Strong Spirit of the Poles, all fiery beyond.

(11) As the many torrents of the rivers rush toward the ocean, so do the heroes of the mortal world rush into Thy fiercely flaming mouths.
