(11) His eyes were always gazing on the King as a falcon's; Cut off from mankind, though not for any fault, Severed from men and women, though not for baseness; Having compassion on mankind, and wholesome as water, A kind intercessor, and one whose prayers were heard. Benevolent to the good and the bad, and a firm ally, Better than a mother, and kinder than a father. The Prophet said, "To you, O blessed ones, I am as a father, affectionate and indulgent; For this cause, that you are all portions of me."

(62) He glittereth with Intellectual Sections, and hath filled all things with love.

(11) With many faces and eyes, presenting many wondrous sights, bedecked with many celestial ornaments, armed with many divine uplifted weapons; wearing celestial garlands and vestments, anointed with divine perfumes, all-wonderful, resplendent, boundless, and with faces on all sides.

(84) 'Blessed be Thou, O Lord, King, Great and mighty in Thy greatness, Lord of the whole creation of the heaven, King of kings and God of the whole world. And Thy power and kingship and greatness abide for ever and ever, And throughout all generations Thy dominion; And all the heavens are Thy throne for ever, And the whole earth Thy footstool for ever and ever.

(52) And there is in the Depth of the Deity no such wonderful Person more, as this Christ is, which the Prophet Isaiah calls (in the Spirit highly known by him) Wonderful Power, [or Virtue, Champion, or] Saviour, eternal Father, and Prince of Peace; whose Dominion is great, and upon his Shoulders; understand [upon] the Creatures of the Element.

(14) And the Great Glory sat thereon, and His raiment shone more brightly than the sun and was whiter than any snow.

(18) O King! As often as I recall that most wonderful form of the Lord, great is my astonishment, and I rejoice again and again.

(3) For the words transcendent , and he beheld every thing , and the wealth of intellect , and the like, especially exhibit the illustrious nature of the conformation of his mind and body, and its superior accuracy in seeing, and hearing, and in intellectual perception.

(22) "He was given great authority, and he ruled over the creation of poverty. He created gods and angels, archangels, myriads without number for retinue, from that Light and the tri-male Spirit, which is that of Sophia, his consort. For from this, God originated divinity and kingdom. Therefore he was called 'God of gods' and 'King of kings'.

(40) And he clothed him with byssus garments, and lie put a gold chain upon his neck, and (a herald) proclaimed before him " 'El 'El wa' Abirer," and he placed a ringon his hand and made him ruler over all his house, and magnified him, and said unto him : " Only on the throne shall I be greater than thou."

(81) And forthwith I blessed the great Lord the King of glory for ever, in that He has made all the works of the world, And I extolled the Lord because of His patience, And blessed Him because of the children of men.

(68) But he saw that he was a Prince, standing in the first Principle, and so despised the Birth of the Heart of God, and the soft and very lovely Qualification thereof, and meant to be a very potent and terrible Lord in the first Principle, and would qualify [or work] in the Strength of the Fire; he despised the Meekness of the Heart of God. He would not set his Imagination therein, [or his Thoughts upon it,] and therefore he could not be fed from the Word of the Lord, and so his Light went out; whereupon presently he became a Loathsomeness in Paradise, and was spewed out of his princely Throne, with all his Legions that stuck to him, [or depended on him.]

(69) And there was great joy amongst them, And they blessed and glorified and extolled Because the name of that Son of Man had been revealed unto them.

(17) And in everything wherein He had tried him, he was found faithful, and his soul was not impatient, and he was not slow to act ; for he was faithful and a lover of the Lord.

(14) And he believed in the Lord, and it was counted to him for righteousness.

(12) But All-Father Mind, being Life and Light, did bring forth Man co-equal to Himself, with whom He fell in love, as being His own child; for he was beautiful beyond compare, the Image of his Sire. In very truth, God fell in love with his own Form; and on him did bestow all of His own formations.

(14) But what do the theologians mean when at one time they call Him Love, and Loving-kindness, and at another, Loved and Esteemed? For, of the one, He is Author and, as it were, Producer and Father; but the other, He Himself is; and by one He is moved, but by the other He moves; or (when they say), that He Himself is Procurer and Mover of Himself and by Himself. In this sense, they call Him esteemed and loved, as Beautiful and Good: but again Love and Loving-kindness, as being at once moving and conducting Power to Himself;--the alone--self Beautiful and Good, by reason of Itself, and, being, as it were, a manifestation of Itself through Itself, and a good Progression of the surpassing union, and a loving Movement, simplex, self-moved, self-operating, pre-existing in the Good, and from the Good bubbling forth to things existing, and again returning to the Good, in which also the Divine Love indicates distinctly Its own unending and unbeginning, as it were a sort of everlasting circle whirling round in unerring combination, by reason of the Good, from the Good, and in the Good, and to the Good, and ever advancing and remaining and returning in the same and throughout the same. And these things our illustrious initiator divinely set forth throughout His Hymns of Love, of which we may appropriately make mention, and, as it were, place as a certain sacred chapter to our treatise concerning Love.

(2) And He caused His commands to ascend as a sweet savour e acceptable before Him *all the days. ...

(60) And the Head of Days sat on the throne of His glory, and the angels and the righteous stood around Him.

(9) The living charm is behind him, behind this god, whose ka is glorious, the king of the Tuat, the prince of the Amenta, who takes hold of the sky, triumphantly, on whom the atef crown is established, who shines with the white diadem, who has seized the hook and the flail; mighty is his soul, the great one of the urer crown; who has united all the gods, the love of him penetrates their bodies, Unneferu who lasts for ever and eternally
