(106) However, Nature generates Nothing, be it what it will in this World, and though perhaps it should stand or continue but scarce a Minute, yet it is all generated in the Ternary, or according to the Similitude of God.

(68) Now, where nothing is, there nothing can come to be: All Things must have a Root, else can nothing grow: If the seven Spirits of Nature had not been from Eternity, then there would no Angel, no Heaven, also no Earth have come to be.

(82) For, the Ideas or Figures have in a Manner framed themselves thus from Eternity, and have passed away and altered again through the qualifying or fountain Spirits: For this was the eternal Play, Sport or Scene of God, before the Time of the Creation of the Angels. [x That is, have come and gone perpetually.]

(6) But all things must be made; both ever made, and also in accordance with the influence of every space. For He who makes, is in them all; not stablished in some one of them, nor making one thing only, but making all. For being Power, He energizeth in the things He makes and is not independent of them - although the things He makes are subject to Him. Now gaze through Me upon the Cosmos that's now subject to thy sight; regard its Beauty carefully - Body in pure perfection, though one than which there's no more ancient one, ever in prime of life, and ever-young, nay, rather, in even fuller and yet fuller prime!

(26) He is proceeded or born of Nothing, but Himself is all in Eternity; and all whatsoever is, is come from his Power, which from Eternity goes from him.

(48) Thou seest in this World nothing but the Deep, and therein the Stars, and the Birth or Geniture of the Elements: Now wilt thou say, God is not there? Pray then, what was there in that Place before the Time of the World? Wilt thou say, there was nothing? then thou speakest without Reason, for thou must needs say, that God was there, or else nothing would there have come to be.

(3) It is by Spirit that all things are governed in the Cosmos, and made quick,—Spirit made subject to the Will of Highest God, as though it were an engine or machine. So far, then, [only] let Him be by us conceived,—as Him who is conceivable by mind alone, who is called Highest God, the Ruler and Director of God Sensible, —of Him who in Himself includes all Space, all Substance, and all Matter, of things producing and begetting, and all whatever is, however great it be. XVII

(108) The Maker of all things, self-operating, framed the World. And there was a certain Mass of Fire: all these things Self-Operating He produced, that the Body of the Universe might be conformed, that the World might be manifest, and not appear membranous.

(33) For before the Beginning of the Creation of the Creatures, there was Nothing but only GOD; and where there is Nothing, out of that, Nothing will be. All Things must have a Cause or Root, or else Nothing will be.

(3) The source, therfore, of all is God; their essence, Aeon; their matter, Cosmos. God's power is Aeon; Aeon's work is Cosmos - which never hath become, yet ever doth become by Aeon. Therefore will Cosmos never be destroyed, for Aeon's indestructible; nor doth a whit of things in Cosmos perish, for Cosmos is enwrapped by Aeon round on every side. Hermes: But God's Wisdom - what is that? Mind: The Good and Beautiful, and Blessedness, and Virtue's all, and Aeon. Aeon, then, ordereth [Cosmos], imparting deathlessness and lastingness to matter.

(4) For its beginning doth depend on Aeon, as Aeon doth on God. Now Genesis and Time, in Heaven and upon the Earth, are of two natures. In Heaven they are unchangeable and indestructible, but on the Earth they're subject unto change and to destruction. Further, the Aeon's soul is God; the Cosmos' soul is Aeon; the Earth's soul, Heaven. And God in Mind; and Mind, in Soul; and Soul, in Matter; and all of them through Aeon. But all this Body, in which are all the bodies, is full of Soul; and Soul is full of Mind, and Mind of God. It fills it from within, and from without encircles it, making the All to live. Without, this vast and perfect Life [encircles] Cosmos; within, it fills [it with] all lives; above, in Heaven, continuing in sameness; below, on Earth, changing becoming.

(14) Before the Times of the created Heavens, the Stars and the Elements, and before the Creation of angels, there was no such Wrath of God, no Death, no Devil, no Earth nor Stones, neither were there any Stars. But the Deity generated itself very meekly and lovingly, and formed, framed, and figured itself in Ideas, Shapes, and Images, which were incorporated according to the qualifying or fountain Spirits in their generating, wrestling, and rising up, and passed away again also through their Wrestling, and figured or framed themselves into another Form or Condition, all according to the Primacy or Predominance of each qualifying or fountain Spirit, as you may read before.
